New 2017 Ford GT – Release Date, Specs & Info

Ford has decided to bring back the 2017 Ford GT for another run. The car that is going to be released now is the second-generation of this model which is released after the demise of the first-gen one which was short lived and which did not pose good numbers on sales and popularity. But with the 2017 second-gen model we are getting something that is going to fix everything that the previous car saw as flawed.

This is going to be a direct descendant from the Ford GT40 model, a legendary vehicle which competed at the race track of Le Mans and the model which managed to win against the current Ferrari. The events that happen almost 40 years ago saw the dismissal of Enzo Ferrari to sell the company to Henry Ford which latter on prompted Ford to make their own version which were dominated the racetrack. The designers were issued a blank check to do so and the result was as you know it a model that won at the racetrack of Le Mans and the model which dominated the races of the period.

The model was shown to the word for the first time at the Detroit Auto Show this year, where the fans were given the first opportunity to lay their eyes on the model that was announced for release next year. The release date of the 2017 Ford GT has been set for 2017 but they managed to show it earlier and get the fans hyped up for the release.

The model is going to have a super light carbon fiber and aluminum construction and will combine with a EcoBoost V-6 engine that will give it the power to generate up to 600 horsepower. The legendary car is going to have a modernistic approach to the car and will provide us with perhaps the best supercar that Ford has managed to produce. Read all about the Ford GT 2017 in this review and get a taste about what the car is going to represent.

Exterior

2017 Ford GT front view, headlights and grille

The 2017 Ford GT is going to resemble its older brother a lot in terms of exterior style. The mid-engine design is going to adopt a long wedge shape and combine it with a signature sloped GT nose up front. The dual ducts placed to the front also create a menacing look for the model. The rear part of the car has adopted a more modernistic approach compared to some other past GT models. With crisp cut taillights and some round hips it reminds us of the modern Ferrari models and it even adds a set of flying buttress wings which create extra downforce. Mounted high and center, there is a set of cannon outlasts while to the lower part there is an aggressive looking diffuser added.

2017 Ford GT rear view, taillights and tailpipe

The greenhouse of the car is less open and less wider than other cars in the lineup. Compared to the older models, this one is far more sleeker and has some added aerodynamic properties that the previous models also lacked. There are also a bunch of subtle details that are added to remind us of the older models. The shape of the car has been carved out from a light weight material like carbon fiber and aluminum which reduces the overall weight of the car. Each and every curve of the car has been fine tuned to enhance the cars stability on the road and enhance its driving potential. All in all, certainly the best looking and the most purposeful Ford GT 2017 model.

Interior

2017 Ford GT interior, steering wheel, dashboard

The main characteristics of the interior of the 2017 Ford GT are control and usability. The design of the cockpit has been made in a way that it is going to fit the primary purpose of the car. The seats have been fully integrated into the  monocoque shell of the car, which makes you directly connected to the chassis and that way gives you full control and feel for the car. because the seating position is fixed, the steering wheel is adjustable as well as for the pedals so different type of people can fit in and feel relaxed inside.

Ford has also decided to give an F1 inspired steering wheel to its model as all the necessary control for the function of the car have been mounted on it. This actually opens up the steering column a little bit and manage to declutter the area a bit. The gauge cluster is made out of a large LCD display which is configurable to display various types of information on it. Actually there are multiple modes that you can choose and enable the display of the information to happen.

Engine specs

2017 Ford GT engine

The initial draw was that the 2017 Ford GT was going to use a Mustang GT350 inspired engine and that the model was supposed to go with a flat-plane crank V-8 engine. But come release date all of that is going to change as the car has been actually announced with a  3.5-liter, EcoBoost V-6 which has two turbos to it. This is the next generation EcoBoost motor and was inspired by IMSA Daytona Prototype endurance racer. They are saying that it is going to reach a power of 600 horsepower and deliver us an acceleration of 0-60 mph of less than 4 seconds and it can also achieve that with a top speed of 200 mph.

Release date and price

2017 Ford GT release date

As mentioned, the model is going to be released next year. The 2017 Ford GT has already been shown and fans are quite familiar with what this car is going to represent, so at the official release date there is not going to be anything kept secret and fans are going to enjoy the model in every sense. The car is going to be released in the first quarter of next year with a price tag of around  $400,000, making it close to the price of an Lamborghini Aventador model. Perhaps the closest competitors in the market are going to be the Lamborghini Huracan and the Chevy Corvette ZR1 models.

New 2017 GMC Yukon – Release Date and Info

As the 2017 GMC Yukon is getting ready for its release date, we are expecting some new updates from it as there was actually not too much time from the last model release of this model. The previous one has been given only last year and GMC has decided to enhance the car up with a few details and changes made which are going to start with a  Driver Alert Package and some new 22-inch wheels in order to keep the car fresh.

This helps the car stay afloat for yet another period and helps it battle against the competition, namely the latest Lincoln Navigator, and keep it among the top selling cars in its segment. The car is going to carry over a lot of details for the most part of its design but still offers a lot of innovative features to keep it a completely new model that way. The recent reworking of the Yukon actually brought to us a lot of new elements and we already had a pretty decent setup with the changes brought by the previous year model, so there was no need to change them significantly.

The changes are seen both on the inside and out but it is the inside of the car which is going to pack some more apparent and more obvious changes. We get a  fold-flat second and third row of seats as they now do not need to be removed if we want to get a flat load floor. The powertrain is also upgraded and provides us with added  EcoTec3 technologies as our new offer.

The 2017 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban and Cadillac Escalade for 2017 have all upgraded their offer already and as they are considered their twins on the market, so had the GMC Yukon 2017 needed to do so as well. This review will help you determine just how much the car has changed for its upgrade.

Available trims

2017 GMC Yukon exterior, front view, trims

This year the 2017 GMC Yukon will feature the same kind of trims that it had the previous year. This means that the beside the base version there is going to be the Yukon XL and SLT while the Denali is also going to be featured as well.

Exterior

2017 GMC Yukon front angle, headlights and grille

For the outside of the car we do not expect to see many changes for the 2017 GMC Yukon model. We are getting a similar car compared to the exterior looks of the previous model as it can be quite hard to distinguish between the two now. Some electronics have changed and the SLT model comes with a hands-free liftgate feature which was standard only for the Denali models before. The wheels of the model have also grown and the car is going to provide us with some larger wheel sizes now. The newest addition is the 22-inch option, but the SLE and SLT levels still come with 18-inch ones as standard while both the 20-inch and 22-inch ones come as optional.

There are two new color pallets available as well as they are adding a Crimson Red Tintcoat option for three trim levels and a White Frost Tricoat  exclusively for SLT and Denali trims. Another addition, perhaps minor but still a change, is the new capless fuel filler neck. The system also adds a gasketed fuel door  which prevents any debris of getting inside the fuel tank. The Driver Alert Package provides us with automatic headlight feature which turns the high beams on and off depending on the change of traffic conditions.

Interior

The interior does not offer many differences for the 2017 GMC Yukon the same as the exterior. The look is similar but there are some differences that we can look forward to. We perhaps do not get an entirely changed look but we have some aesthetic features that have been reshaped as well. The best change is the added fold-flat second and third row of seats. There is an optional power-fold function which helps you transition quickly from a model which moves people around or cargo in your trunk. The hands-free liftgate also offers some  programmable settings which enables customize the usage of the liftgate in any way that you like.

2017 GMC Yukon interior, leather seats

The eight-inch infotainment screen is a standard offer here and is going to come back on the inside this year as well. it runs the GMC’s IntelliLink software and you can also make use of the SiriusXM satellite radio and 4G LTE Wi-Fi services  which are standard on teh insdie. navigation is offered optionally though while the Denali trims come with a upgraded instrument cluster that has a second eight-inch display  that is customizable and offers different theme settings.

Engine

2017 GMC Yukon engine

The new 2017 GMC Yukon is going ot update its pwoertrain the same way as all GM trucks. As soon as the car rolls out of the production line on its release date is going to come available with a EcoTec3 version of the V-8 model. Thus the standard engine variant is the  5.3-liter V-8 engine that makes  355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The Denali trims comes exclusively with a 6.2-liter V-8, the same one offered in the Stingray Corvette model, which makes  420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The primary engine option is going to combine with a  GM’s Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission while the secondary is given with a the Hydra-Matic 8L90, GM’s newest eight-speed automatic.

New 2017 Ford Raptor Release Date, Specs & Info

The new 2017 Ford Raptor is America’s best-selling truck that comes equipped with a powerful V6 engine, a terrain management system, stronger frame, and an upgraded suspension system. In general, the new model comes with several comprehensive changes that are aimed at making the new model a compelling buy in its class. Its release date should be expected sometime later this year as a 2017 year model.

2017 Ford Raptor exterior, headlights

For starters, the Ford Raptor is America’s best-selling passenger vehicle that has managed to outsell almost everything in the segment for years unending. Well, this impressive success streak isn’t based on magic, it’s solely based on clever engineering and seamless combination of performance and features. It ticks the right boxes when it comes to fuel economy, comfort amenities, and utility.

But even with such amazing specs, some buyers would still need something more extreme like the ability to flatten cacti at 80 mph and can hop boulders. If you’re one of these stubborn shoppers, the 2017 Ford Raptor is your best remedy.

Some of the 2017 Ford Raptor changes that the second-generation model comes with include an all-new frame, a more powerful V6 engine that replaces the existing V8 one, new aluminum body panels, and will feature new performance systems such as the terrain management system. Ford says the new model’s frame has been constructed using high-strength steel which means the Ford Raptor 2017 will be the strongest in the entire lineup.

Dimensions have grown slightly. Ford says the new model will now be six-inches wider than the existing model. Besides the changes outlined here, the new model is still a Raptor to the core. What else is out there? You ask. For the doubting Thomases, or those looking for s specific capability, there’re a couple of several models out there in this segment.

As things stand, Ford has only revealed the Supercrew body style, however, we still expect to see the regular and extended body styles too.
