According to Mark Reuss, executive vice president of Global Product Development, “Racing has been part of the ‘Vette’s essence for five decades now and this experience has enabled Chevy deliver more capable, and better quality vehicles. The new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport – the seventh generation Corvette model, takes the track-bred technology to an even higher threshold.”

Exclusive features and heritage-inspired design cues the Grand Sport offers validate the direct link to the legacy that it established from 1963. According to Chevrolet, the new model offers 1.05g in cornering capability. The available Z07 package makes this even better with an up to 1.2g. The custom wheel design and the specific front fender inserts the Grand Sport comes with makes it stand out. On the outside, the C7 Grand Sport is basically a Corvette Z06. In fact, the available Heritage Package is specifically available in order to make the Grand Sport and the Corvette Z06 distinct models. Engine Specs

Under the hood is an engine unit similar to that found in the LT1 that cranks 460 hp and 465 lbs. ft. of torque. It takes 3.5 seconds to run from 0-60 mph. The Corvette Z06 and Stingray 0-60 mph times are unavailable at the moment.
